The Terex Texoma 800 auger drill features a newly designed operator’s platform, joystick controls and radial arm outriggers. Capable of being mounted on a truck chassis or crawler undercarriage, the Terex 800 Auger Drill offers mounting versatility to fit the drilling application.

“Drilling is a tough business with tight deadlines, harsh environments, difficult soils and ever-changing applications,” said Gary Rice, auger product and sales manager, Terex Utilities. “Whether our customers are drilling for commercial construction, electrical power grid or oil and gas development, Terex Utilities offers a range of drill and auger tooling products to meet their job site needs. The new 800 auger drill features a robust, straightforward design with heavy-duty components for long life and provides a productive, reliable, cost-effective solution for a wide array of drilling applications.”

The redesigned operator platform on the Terex 800 auger drill allows for easy access on and off the unit. The new joystick controls are designed with improved ergonomics to provide comfort for the operator while the new radial outriggers provide overall stability plus their low profile gives operators increased capability to swing large diameter auger tools safely around to the side, according to the manufacturer.

The Terex 800 auger drill has the power needed to get the job done in difficult soil conditions. Due to torque levels of up to 75,377 ft.-lb. (102,512 Nm) and the unlimited capability to drill in low gear range, the Terex 800 model provides superior productivity. With fast cycle times in and out of the hole, this new drill from Terex efficiently generates finished holes as deep as 95 ft. (29 m) and offers operators greater productivity in less time.

The new Terex 800 auger drill also features a maintenance-friendly design with thoughtfully placed components, service access walkways, externally mounted filters, a removable tank access cover and environmentally friendly quick couplers for the fluid drain. It all adds up to an incredibly serviceable, easily maintained machine that offers more uptime and productivity.

“The components that make up the 800 auger drill are designed to offer our customers long life and ease of maintenance. That means lower operating costs and more uptime to keep them drilling,” said Rice.
