As part of ongoing efforts to enhance its rental equipment business and meet the changing needs of its west Tennessee customers, Thompson Machinery has opened a Cat Rental Store operation at its Jackson, Tenn., branch located at 2000 Airways Blvd.

Thompson has long been committed to offering a wide range of Cat earthmoving products. The expansion of the Cat Rental Store in Jackson will now offer additional equipment options for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, roofing and other subcontractor needs.

"The addition of the Cat Rental Store in Jackson fills a gap between our Nashville and Memphis locations that expands our footprint in which to serve customers' equipment rental needs," said Mike Rattan, Thompson Rental Store general manager. "Our Jackson staff brings a wealth of expertise to the market and will provide a valuable resource to our customers in the area."

Preston Mysinger, who has been named Jackson Rental Store manager, said, "Jackson and the surrounding region are seeing a significant growth in the industrial and commercial markets. Thompson's new Cat Rental Store will provide not only earthmoving equipment, but scissor and boom lifts, air compressors, light towers, generators and more. Having an increased local presence allows us to be even more connected to the community, and means we can offer more equipment options for all jobsite needs."

Del Reid has joined the Jackson sales team as a rental sales representative, and will be based at the Airways Boulevard office. He can be reached at 731/618-7776 or at [email protected], Mysinger and the other members of the Jackson rental staff represent more than 70 years of cumulative experience in rental operations. "We are very excited to be part of a team that is known for reliable, around-the-clock support, with the best equipment available," said Mysinger.
