Built within Caterpillar's D6N series, the LGP configuration uses wider tracks to reduce ground pressure and improve flotation in mud, sand, wetlands, and other low-bearing conditions. It is commonly used in construction, land clearing, road building, and utility work where traction and surface protection are important. The D6N LGP combines a compact dozer frame, responsive hydraulic controls, and a versatile undercarriage suited to finish grading and general earthmoving applications in crawler dozer fleets.
