Just a few days after announcing their first CAT Compact store in Cumming, Ga., Yancey Bros. Co. opened another new facility in Covington, Ga., that becomes the second Yancey CAT Compact branch which is a combo CAT Compact / Yancey Rents branch.

To introduce customers to the new branch, Yancey held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on May 20, 2026. A BBQ lunch was served; branch tours were given and great Caterpillar and Yancey swag was generously given to guests. A grand prize CAT cooler was awarded to Beverly Thomas of TM Land Clearing, Oxford, Ga.

Perry Cunningham, manager of the CAT Compact division, spoke with the crowd assembled and thanked them for their business and for being a part of the event.

"When Caterpillar started the CAT Compact initiative, Yancey Bros. jumped on it," he said. "We believe in the mission of CAT Compact. We clearly received the message from our customers that they're looking for a provider that gives them access to a variety of machines, where they're working and with rapid transitional time to maximize their uptime."

As with all Yancey events, CAT Financial and CAT corporate representatives came out to lend their support.
