On July 13, Yancey Bros. Co. kicked off its 2nd annual statewide food and fund drive, Dump Hunger, to benefit the nine regional food banks located throughout Georgia. Georgia’s regional food banks are at their lowest stock levels during the summer months when food donations fall off but food demand increases as children who depend on access to school lunch programs are now eating from their household pantries. Yancey’s Dump Hunger campaign is aimed at meeting that increased demand by helping replenish dwindling reserves at the Georgia food banks.

The Dump Hunger food and fund drive, which officially ends on, July 24, partners each of Yancey’s store locations with the nine regional food banks for two weeks. Across the state, Yancey employees, customers and vendors will be united in one collective goal to help those in need in our own communities.
