Yancey Bros. Co. values its customers and cares about ways to make their businesses more efficient and successful.

The Yancey Rebuild Center in McDonough, Ga., opened in September 2011 with that in mind. They are performing Cat Certified Rebuilds, Certified Powertrain Plus Rebuilds and general reconditioning on machines that the company purchases with the intent of rebuilding and offering them to their customers as an option alongside new and used equipment.

“Our goal is to be able to provide an additional service to our customers by offering them another buying option,” said Wade Forester, McDonough Rebuild Center Manager. An additional 3 year/5,000 hour, 24 month/ 10,000 hour, or 12 month/ 6,000 hour powertrain warranty may be purchased to complement the value of these machines.

The first machine completed was a Caterpillar 773B with a Mega Corp. Water Tank replacing the dump body. This machine allows the water tank to be lifted for service by the hydraulics that once controlled the dump body. The second completed machine is the Caterpillar 980G. These products were purchased from Yancey’s local customer base.

The 56,000 sq. ft. facility is located in the Interstate Industrial Park off Highway 155 southwest of McDonough.

Forester said, “Plans are for continued growth, with machine cores onsite and a number of machines available to our customers at all times.”

The technicians working in the Rebuild Center average 19 years of experience in the industry and take great pride in the products they are building for Yancey customers. CEG
