Just four years ago, Yancey Bros. Co. opened a massive CAT Rental Store in Cumming, Ga. As of May 2026, this facility located at 5905 Hubbard Town Rd., Cumming, Ga., now includes a new Caterpillar division that is the first in Georgia and only the second in the country: CAT Compact.

"Both Caterpillar and the CAT dealers listened carefully to their customers' needs to have the largest selection of compact machines available at any time with the inclusion of a fast transactional experience," said Perry Cunningham manager of Yancey Bros. CAT Compact division. "This is for customers looking towards building a relationship with an equipment distributor that can quickly fund them and quickly meet any of their needs for service and parts.

"The goal of CAT Compact is that when you roll in and want or need to buy a machine, you pull off with the machine of your choice on your trailer, or a trailer we sell in just two hours," added Cunningham.

To kick off the introduction to the new CAT Compact division, Yancey held an open house offering more than 70 machines at low-low red tag pricing for sale or rent with warranty and service agreement discounts. For those wanting to try before they buy, there was a demo area allowing customers to test various machines before they made a final choice.

CAT Financial and Caterpillar corporate representatives turned out in big numbers. The biggest difference made by this new division is through the upgrade of the existing CAT customer value agreement. Now, through the CAT Compact stores, this plan includes a same day parts guarantee with this size class of machines and 24-hour up time.

A BBQ lunch was served along with plenty of Yancey Bros. and CAT swag available. Attendees also could enter to win the grand prize — a CAT cooler.
