According to Jo and Arden Shell of Arden Shell Truck and Equipment, the weather is much better here than in Michigan. This Hitachi excavator may be going to Connecticut with Chris Davis of JHD Corp., if the price is right. Eager Beaver showed off its new 100-ton trailer — the 100 GSL. Looking for deals while enjoying some terrific weather at the Florida auctions are Mike Zyndorf (L), Mike Zyndorf Equipment, Mays Landing, N.J., and Dan McHugh, Brookside Equipment Sales, Phillipston, Mass. Tim Thomas of Tractor & Equipment Company, Birmingham, Ala., jots down a couple of notes on a Komatsu WA450 wheel loader. These guys from Abingdon, Va., were very interested in this Caterpillat IT28G tool carrier. The office staff at Yoder & Frey once again managed the impossible — registering and attending to the needs of thousands of bidders. This American bald eagle seemed to be enjoying this demonstration of good old fashion American capitalism at its very best at the Yoder & Frey sale. Jimmy Davis, president of Davis Auction in Conn., is sporting a new ATV. Another couple of snowbirds escaped the weather nightmare in New England. Oscar Plourde (L) from Suncook, N.H., and , John Neville of Neville Construction, Goffstown, N.H. Brendan Wray of the Wrays LLC, Sawyer, Kan., considers a bid on the Volvo L180E wheel loader. Auctioneer Joey Martin calls out another winning bid. Yoder & Frey held its 41st annual Florida Auctions sale Feb. 9 to 16 in Kissimmee, Fla.

The seven-day auction featured a huge assortment of backhoes, wheel loaders, excavators, dozers, dump trucks, motorgraders, paving equipment, attachments and much more. Attendance was strong as many bidders from all over the United States, once again took advantage of the great Florida weather and bargains on iron.
