Boyd Company, the parent company of Whayne Supply, recently opened its new company support center in Louisville, Ky.

“The investment in the building represents a long-term business decision that will assist all our companies to continue to grow and be successful in the future,” said Monty L. Boyd, president and owner of Boyd Company. “The new office is conveniently located for many of our employees and provides a great facility that will assist our company in becoming more efficient. The new office is not only a reflection of Boyd Company’s past success, but also a space that will serve our rapidly growing operations,” he said.

Boyd Company employs 120 people at its new facility and more than 2,000 employees companywide. The headquarters are located in Louisville’s East End at 10001 Linn Station Road in Plainview. The acquisition of the building will improve company efficiency by consolidating corporate support staff in one central location and will improve communication and work flow, while reducing overall operating costs.

The office employees housed in this building were previously in three separate buildings at their Cecil Avenue location. Being together now will improve communications and collaboration for all these corporate support areas. Also, utilities will be shut off for two of the buildings they moved out of, which will decrease expenses.

The building represents a multi-million dollar investment to Boyd Company’s growing operations in a variety of markets including coal, agriculture, construction, power and rental. Boyd Company originally purchased the building in June 2012 and committed $4 million in facility renovations for the 44,000 sq. ft. building.
