Don Onthank, president of Arrowhead Equipment, celebrated the opening of Arrowhead Equipment LLC June 1 in Hydro, Okla.

Arrowhead’s headquarters in Hydro, is 50 mi. west of Oklahoma City and situated between I-40 and the historical Route 66.
“After conducting rather extensive research, we found that Oklahoma is still in a heavy growth mode and Hydro is in an area that is prime for a fresh face in the rental market,” Onthank stated. “We are not kids by any means, but we will accept the title of the ’new kid on the block’ since we have a lot of new ideas about renting construction equipment and the determination to meet our customers’ needs.”
Onthank said the company will have at least 75 low hour units that are in excellent condition available to round out its fleet.
Rental equipment ranges from 90 to 400 hp (67 to 298 kW) and consists of large track type dozers, loader and wheel loaders to skid steers and high-lifts.
Keeping things in perspective until sales have been established, they have started with a 4,200 sq. ft. facility situated on 6 acres.
At this time, repairs are performed off-site, but plans include a full service maintenance and repair facility within the next year.
“Our entire staff is well versed in the construction equipment industry having been associated with OEM dealers, used equipment dealers and construction service businesses which gives us the knowledge to just do it right,” Onthank said.
