With record sales growth in existing and new product lines in 2008, Aspen Equipment Co. of Minneapolis has added three new sales representatives. The expansion allows Aspen to continue its strategy in creating sales specialists who are more market and product line focused with a greater knowledge of their customer’s unique requirements.
New additions include railroad equipment industry veteran, Dennis Ostrowski, who brings more than 20 years of successful sales experience to Aspen. Ostrowski will market custom railroad truck equipment applications to railroad contractors, Class I’s, Short-Lines and Passenger Railroads in the northeast and eastern United States. Dennis resides in central Ohio.
Aspen also hired Dave Heck who brings vast product knowledge, a history of sales growth and management background. Heck comes to Aspen’s Omaha Branch with more than 15 years working in various roles for the Elliott Equipment and Aerial Company. He will be in charge of selling crane installation services to national crane dealers throughout the United States and selling parts and service for the Manitowoc and Grove product lines.
Aspen named Todd Mohler as its lead sales professional calling on Class 7 and 8 truck dealers and fleets in the Twin Cities Metro Area. Mohler comes to Aspen from Boyer Trucks, with more than 11 years of product and sales expertise in the freight and construction markets. His dedication to the customer and knowledge of the industry allows him to sell a variety of truck solutions for many vocational applications including the new Delta Waseca van body line.
“Aspen is a third generation, family owned equipment company that is continually improving its image of top quality product lines, knowledgeable sales people and dedicated service technicians,” said Steve Sill, president of Aspen. “We chose the tag line The Strength to Deliver because we believe that our 80-plus years in business says a lot about our abilities to both stay the long course and evolve in response to our customer’s needs.”
