Bobcat Company is introducing a new line of lithium-ion battery packs engineered for Class I forklifts.
Arriving in North America in the first quarter of 2026, with earlier availability in select global markets, the batteries are built to deliver consistent, dependable power for demanding materialâhandling environments, according to Bobcat.
"With this new lithiumâion battery line, Bobcat is expanding its electric power portfolio to support forklift businesses and their growing shift toward advanced power solutions," said Jaesung Choi, product manager, Bobcat Company. "These batteries are purposeâbuilt for rigorous, dayâtoâday use, offering durability, efficiency and productivity for the most demanding material-handling applications."
New Standard in Forklift Power
Bobcat's lithiumâion battery packs are designed for cushionâtire, pneumaticâtire and 3âwheel forklifts, providing a modern alternative to traditional leadâacid options. The lineup includes 48âvolt and 80âvolt models available in 400Ah and 600Ah capacities, delivering consistent output across a wide range of applications.
The packs feature a reinforced internal architecture and advanced system controls designed to support reliability in highâuse environments such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.
Faster Charging, Maximized Uptime
The batteries charge up to 50 percent faster than many comparable systems, enabling extended shifts and aroundâtheâclock operation. With no watering, no daily upkeep and no battery swaps required, fleet management becomes more efficient and predictable.
Certified to Industry Standards
The battery packs are certified to UL 2580 (battery), meeting industry standards for battery safety. When installed in the truck, the UL 583 (truck), certification for the vehicle also is updated accordingly to confirm compliance with electric forklift equipment requirements. The battery packs also have acquired every key certification demanded in global markets, thoroughly validating their safety and quality for industrial applications.
Engineered for Demanding Conditions
A reinforced structure withstands vibrations up to 5G to support stable performance in intensive materialâhandling applications. Precision thermal management and laserâwelded connections help maintain consistent operation under heavy loads and long duty cycles.
An integrated coldâweather heat pad activates automatically in low temperatures, helping maintain output in freezer facilities and winter climates.
The batteries feature an IP65 dustâ and waterâresistant design, enabling operation across indoor, outdoor and mixedâuse environments.
Operator-Focused Design
Daily operation is streamlined through new charging and discharging interfaces, a userâfriendly side panel, automatic sleep mode to preserve energy when equipment is idle and a quick wakeâup button for immediate activation. Easyâaccess components further support fleet and rental applications, according to Bobcat.
Lower Total Cost of Ownership
A modular battery and weight system improves installation flexibility, reduces longâterm service complexity and simplifies inventory management. Reduced routine maintenance and longâterm performance durability contribute to lower operating costs and improved lifecycle value.
As lithiumâion adoption grows across the forklift industry, Bobcat's new battery lineup offers operators and fleet managers an option backed by the company's engineering capabilities, certification standards and global support network. Built for consistent performance, operator efficiency and lowâmaintenance ownership, the batteries address the evolving needs of today's materialâhandling operations.
