Bobcat New York Adds Dixie Chopper Mowers to Lineup

Bobcat of New York is the newest Dixie Chopper dealer, joining approximately 550 dealers nationwide authorized to sell and service the mowers.

At Bobcat’s three New York locations, owner Todd Prigozen and General Manager/Sales Manager Robert Sonnick will offer a complete line of Dixie Choppers, ranging from an 18-hp (13 kW) Silver Eagle with a 34-in. (86 cm) cut to the new 33-hp (24.5 kW) Xcaliber with a 74-in. (188 cm) mowing deck.

Bobcat of New York has dealerships in New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.

“We’re dealing every day with landscape contractors in our area,” Prigozen said. “Dixie Chopper is a good fit for our current customers and allows us to provide another solution to the their needs. We look forward to developing the Dixie Chopper market here in New York.”

Dixie Chopper is a leader in the zero-turning radius lawn mower market with more than 20 models available in gasoline, diesel and propane-powered units. The company is a family-owned operation using American-made products to build and assemble its mowers in Greencastle and Coatesville, Ind.

Dixie Chopper is now in its 27th year as a family owned and operated business in central Indiana.

Bobcat will host a mid-September open house that will include a visit by the fame Dixie Chopper Bike, a custom motorcycle built by Orange County Choppers — of “American Chopper” TV fame — in Montgomery, N.Y.
