Bobcat of Charleston is expanding to a larger facility in north Charleston. The Bobcat dealer is one of six branches belonging to Acme Operations LLC — Carolina’s largest Bobcat dealer group.

Bobcat of Charleston moved from Peppermill Parkway just off Ashley Phosphate in north Charleston. The company moved on May, 1 just around the corner to 7152 Cross County Road and will celebrate with an exciting grand-opening event this summer, specific date to be determined. The larger facility is a culmination of several years of steady growth. A thriving construction market in the greater Charleston area has fueled growth industry-wide and the compact equipment sector has been especially buoyed by a strong local housing resurgence.

Doubling the number of employees in less than two years, Bobcat of Charleston has more than kept pace with the market growth.

“Bobcat is a strong top-tier brand and a proud American company, we’re excited to be moving into a great new building that reflects that attitude and advances our top priority of exceptional customer service,” said Manager, Billy Hall.

The Bobcat dealer’s move will double the yard acreage allowing for more new and rental equipment. It also more than doubles the shop area, greatly improving the capability of service department and allowing for additional anticipated company growth.

Bobcat of Charleston wanted to be sure to extend its appreciation to all the area Bobcat customers and everyone in the construction industry for perseverance through the down turn. They are excited about the continued success at the new location.
