A Florida Volvo Rents franchise owner is in an expansion mode.
Casco Rental LLC of Puerto Rico opened its first location two years ago in Port St. Lucie, Fla., which is now the United States headquarters. It then bought out the operation in Cape Coral and moved it to Lehigh Acres earlier this year. A new location opened in Tampa in June and plans are in the works for a Pompano Beach location in January.
In addition to the Volvo rental line, Volvo Rents offers Ingersoll Rand compressors and extended boom forklifts, as well as some of Bobcat’s smaller machines. Other items for rent include: skid steers, track loaders, backhoes, mini excavators, compaction equipment, concrete and masonry tools, generators, demolition tools, pumps, pressure washers, telescopic forklifts and attachments, scissor and boom lifts, welders, excavators and trenchers.
Tony Perez is branch manager in Tampa, the company’s newest location. He supervises seven employees.
“Our biggest advantage is that we are locally owned so we can respond to the customer’s needs quickly,” said Rick Owens, vice president and general manager. “Also, we will be using only late model equipment in our rental fleet and will only buy new equipment for our rental fleet. This means the customer will be getting better, more productive equipment.”
Owens said his company’s management and sales teams “are the most knowledgeable in the business” and boast 105 years of combined experience in the Tampa rental market.
“We want to prove to you that with Volvo Rents, you get more than the ’friendliest store in town;’ you get more care in every rental,” he said.
Other key players in the Volvo Rents team include Controller Camelia Munoz, President Enrique Irizarry, and Executive Vice President Emilio Marquez. The other branch managers are Rod Brooks, Lehigh Acres, and Mike DeGel, Port St. Lucie. CEG Staff
