Over the past month, crews on the south side of the Harbor Bridge project in Corpus Christi achieved a major milestone with the completion of the largest concrete pour to-date on the project. The pour was part of the construction of the footing for the south pylon and included 3,100 cu. yds. of concrete. It took more than 125 skilled workers to complete the massive pour.

All in all, the job utilized three pump trucks and 47 concrete trucks with deliveries coming from two concrete batch plants. The next phase of construction in this area of the project includes above ground work on the pylon legs.
