CEG

The Contractors Association of Will and Grundy Counties (CAWGC) held its Annual Meet & Greet Expo on May 2, 2019, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Stone City VFW in Joliet, Ill. There were 29 exhibitors with both indoor booths and, despite the rainy day, some had brought outside equipment to view.

More than 150 contractors attended this annual event. Admission tickets included food, beer and other beverages. John Rowley of Underground Pipe and his cooking crew prepared delicious shrimp, beef, chicken and pork kabobs on the grill. Meatballs, baked beans and an array of other foods were also prepared.

The CAWGC held a 50/50 drawing and a "Booze and Bucks" Wagon Raffle to benefit Joliet Area Community Hospice. The 50/50 winner was Ron Fox of Fox Electric, who donated his winnings back to Hospice. The winner of the raffle was Marsha Rolih of Pierro Quality Electrical Construction. Many of the exhibitors held drawings as well.

The CAWGC is a non-profit trade association with more than 200 members. The association holds numerous networking events yearly and raises money for various charities. Its next event is the 39th Annual Golf Outing, which will be held at Broken Arrow Golf Club in Lockport, Ill., on June 7.

For more information on the CAWGC, call 815/741-1455 or visit www.CAWGC.org.
