Dominion Offers Over-the-Tire Tracks for Skid Steers

- National Edition
Updated:

Dominion Equipment Parts unveiled its over-the-tire tracks in February at the auctions in Florida.

The newest component to the Virginia-based company’s line-up, the tracks allow contractors to take skid steers places they never could before, said Spokesman Chip Bukoski.

The track would allow an operator to get better traction in mud and provide better flotation in wet conditions.

“There are so many skid steers out there, this was a natural addition to our product line-up,” he said.

The over-the-tire track at Dominion had been in development for approximately one year before it first became available in mid-January. Bukoski said its applications reach across the gamut of contractors who use skid steers.

The feedback in Florida from Dominion’s current and prospective customers was positive when they inspected the over-the-tire track, which is available in two sizes (for 10-in. and 12-in. tires), Bukoski said.

In its 10th year in business, Dominion offers a full line of rubber tracks for mini-excavators, skid loaders and carriers. It also is a distributor for MKB hydraulic breakers and OEM parts for MKB, Morooka rubber-track carriers and Yanmar construction equipment. It’s sister company, Morooka USA-East, offers the full line of Morooka rubber-track carriers for sale and rental.
