The Charles E. Brake Co. of St. Thomas, PA, took delivery of its new Grove TMS875C crane in April. The TMS875C, with a 67.5-metric-ton (75 ton) rating, made it the largest truck crane owned in Grove’s immediate local area of Franklin and Washington counties.
On hand for the delivery were numerous Grove and Brake Company officials including Harold Brake, chairman, who noted that the crane will provide additional capability for a wide range of general construction lifting jobs. Brake’s new TMS875C truck crane has a 34-meter (110 ft.) main boom plus a 17-meter (56 ft.) offsettable swingaway. Brake, who is no stranger to Grove cranes, had the unit painted in his company’s red and white color scheme.
Established in 1924. Brake is based in St. Thomas and employs more than 125 people. The company handles a wide variety of construction projects.
