Forty-three members and guests gathered to welcome the new slate of Illinois Equipment Distributors (IED) officers in Downers Grove, Ill.

President Mark Harbaugh welcomed guests to Carlucci’s Restaurant, which had a wide selection of hors d’oeuvres served buffet style.

In a speech, Harbaugh thanked those who served with him throughout 2007 for help in the busy year. He recalled the efforts to pass the IL Lien Law changes and thanked all of those members who wrote, called and otherwise expressed support for it to the members of the Illinois legislature. Harbaugh specifically thanked his partner in those efforts: Rick Dahl of Metrolift.

Additionally, Harbaugh stated that IED membership grew by 12 percent over the past year.

Dennis Kruepke of McCann Construction Industries was named an officer of Associated Equipment Distributors (AED). Diane Benck of West Side Tractor Sales was named regional director and Harbaugh was named a director at large of AED.

Harbaugh commented on the struggle with the new Illinois Prevailing Wage Law indicating that work must continue on it.

Incoming President Bob Jones of S.E.S. Inc. thanked Harbaugh for his service to the organization and presented him with the IED President’s Plaque as a sign of gratitude from the membership.
