Construction crews in Kansas continue making progress on a $65 million undertaking known as The Green Project. Workers are tasked with replacing aging pavement; the structurally deficient bridges over the Little Arkansas River; and the functionally obsolete bridges over Arkansas Avenue and Broadway Avenue.
Screening and crushing industry manufacturer McCloskey International welcomed equipment dealer Berry Tractor to its global network of distributors. The company will serve the Kansas and western Missouri markets in the United States.
Berry Tractor & Equipment was founded in 1957 and is a division of Berry Companies Inc.
White Star Machinery held a ribbon-cutting open house July 12, 2019, in Tulsa, Okla. The event was held to take the wraps off the company's new facility at 12611 East 60th St. in Tulsa.
During the event, Bobcat officials also presented Whitestar with a large commemorative plaque recognizing the dealer's 50 years as a Bobcat dealer.
Billy Sapp, 24 at the time, started Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) in Columbia, Mo., in 1972 with his brother Elvin, 34, and his father Emery. The construction company for which department of transportation work accounts for about 50 percent of annual revenues, started with one piece of equipment and one employee with a focus on water and sewer installation to one that has over 650 employee-owners.

Berry Companies Inc. acquired the assets of Sellers Equipment effective Sept. 28.
The most visible aspect of the acquisition will the addition of the Hyster line of forklifts and material handling equipment.
“Hyster is just what we've been looking for in our customer product offering within our Kansas geographic footprint,” said Joe Wilson, president of Berry Material Handling.

Berry Tractor spent the last day of summer 2017 hosting lunch for the Red Hills Cedar Rodeo west of Medicine Lodge in rural Barber County, Kan. The crowd of approximately 75 attendees, which included dealer representatives, end users and land owners, enjoyed grilled burgers and hot dogs while talking about land management equipment and best practices.
