Construction Equipment Guide

Ingersoll Rand Company Limited offers two hydraulic, compact excavators to provide earthmoving power in the trenches. The 8.3 ton (7.5 t) ZX-75 and 14 ton (12.5 t) ZX-125 hydraulic excavators provide powerful performance for building, landscaping, rental applications and utility installation, as well as general construction and repair work.

The ZX-75 excavator has an operating weight of 16,538 lbs. (7,501 kg) and a 72 hp (54 kW), four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine.

The ZX-125 excavator has an operating weight of 27,563 lbs. (12,502 kg) and a 94-hp (70 kW), four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine.

Both machines feature zero tail swing, allowing the excavators to safely operate close to buildings and in tight job site conditions. Articulated boom systems on these excavators provide increased capability outside and parallel to the tracks for excavation within the entire width of the machine without repositioning.

Maximum digging depth with the ZX-75 excavator is 13 ft. 11 in. (4.2 m), and 15 ft. 4 in. (4.6 m) with the ZX-125 excavator.

Auxiliary hydraulics are standard on both excavators, expanding versatility and productivity by allowing a greater range of attachments. An optional open-flow return for the auxiliary hydraulic line allows a hammer or similar attachment to be installed without requiring special return lines.

Operators can choose ISO / SAE control patterns during excavation by simply depressing a push button, ensuring efficiency on the job site. The cabs of the excavators feature an ergonomic design with climate control and air pressurization. The operator seat is weight-adjustable and moves easily for greater visibility and comfort.

The dozer blades — complete with float — on the excavators increase stability while working over the end or side of the machine. The blades also allow the operator to prepare a stable work pad and help clean and level the work area when excavation is complete.

The compact excavators can be configured to utilize rubber tracks to minimize surface damage on turf or paved surfaces, or steel tracks to run on uneven, rocky surfaces or in demolition applications.

The excavators add to a wide range of Ingersoll Rand products, including compact wheel loaders, compact backhoe loaders, material handlers, generators, air compressors, light towers, light compaction, concrete, and light construction equipment.
