John Deere, Nortrax Introduce New L&M Series at Expo

More than 12 machines were on display at the Nortrax outdoor booth and included Morbark whole tree chippers as well as John Deere construction equipment used in forestry applications.

John Deere and Nortrax introduced the new L&M Series forestry equipment at the 70th annual Great Lakes Logging & Heavy Equipment Expo, Sept.10 to 12 in Escanaba, Mich. More than 12 machines were on display at the Nortrax outdoor booth and included Morbark whole tree chippers as well as John Deere construction equipment used in forestry applications. Nortrax was the official social media sponsor of the show and took souvenir photos of customers next to the new L&M equipment and promoted on its Facebook page. A forestry simulator was available for customer to try their skills at harvesting and skidding wood and the Nortrax tent featured exclusive John Deere gear, apparel and toys for sale. Nortrax was able to raise $2,305 for Log A Load for kids through the generous donations by the Lake States loggers during the show for a chance to win a John Deere riding lawn mower. Nortrax customer, Ted Houle of Crandon, Wis., was drawn as the lucky winner of the riding lawn mower.

Friday night, following the close of the logging show, Nortrax hosted a customer appreciation event at its Escanaba branch. Nortrax territory managers, general managers, service technicians and other staff, and their spouses, cooked and served burgers and brats for more than 450 customers and invited guests.

Randy Beauchamp of Wilson, MI won the toy John Deere gator door prize giveaway at the customer appreciation event. Nortrax President, Tim Murphy was in attendance for the logging show and customer appreciation night

“The customer event at our Escanaba store has really turned into something that is very special. What is unique is that our Escanaba and Nortrax employees and spouses put on the entire event. Nothing catered.... all home grown. Without question it was enjoyed by all, ” said Murphy.
