Kirby-Smith Supports Texas Roads With Paving Seminar

On display were more than $8 million in state-of-the-art paving equipment, heavy construction equipment, and cranes.

Continuing their support of Texas Highways, Kirby-Smith Machinery and Wirtgen America held their 2013 Paving Seminar on Feb. 26 at the Arlington Convention Center in Arlington, Texas.

Guest speakers included industry experts in Hot Mix Design (RAP and RAS), paving, compaction, asphalt recycling and soil stabilization. These speakers led classes on best practices, latest advancements in paving, and the most cost efficient methods to pave Texas highways. On display were more than $8 million in state-of-the-art paving equipment, heavy construction equipment, and cranes. More than 500 attendees benefited from the seminar, including more than 100 contractors and small business owners.

Also at the event was guest speaker, 1st Sgt. Sammy L. Davis, recipient of the Medal of Honor for his services and acts of valor in the Vietnam War.
