Linder Mourns Passing of Former Executive Bob Olejniczak

Bob Olejniczak “Bob O," former executive vice president of the Linder Industrial Machinery Company (2003-2014), passed away on Aug. 15, 2019 after a 15-year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Bob Olejniczak "Bob O," former executive vice president of the Linder Industrial Machinery Company (2003-2014), passed away on Aug. 15, 2019 after a 15-year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Mr. Olejniczak had a 25-year career with Columbus Equipment Company, beginning his career in sales and working up to president. He and his family moved to Charlotte, N.C., and he was named executive vice president of Linder/Mitchell Company in 2003. In 2010, he moved to Florida where he accepted the role as executive vice president of the entire Linder organization until 2014, diligently working through his disease to support his family and Linder's mission.

"We all mourn the passing of a dear friend and respected leader, and we are deeply saddened by the loss," said John Coughlin, president and CEO of Linder. "Bob had a remarkable impact both on the people and our industry. I have never met a more tenacious, yet compassionate person. On behalf of our employees and the entire company, I extend my sincere condolences to Bob's family. Bob will be missed by all who were touched by his life."

The company added that Mr. Olejniczak developed close relationships with many of his colleagues and customers, who remember him fondly for his mentorship, high-standards and spirit. He will be deeply missed and remembered in high regard, as an example of a life well lived and a role model to those who knew him.
