Link-Belt Cranes Names Gary Lane as Vice President of Marketing, Sales, Customer Support

Gary Lane has been appointed as the VP of marketing, sales, and customer support at Link-Belt Cranes, bringing 30 years of crane industry experience. CEO Melvin Porter praised Lane's customer service focus and expertise, highlighting his previous roles within the company and dealer network.

Gary Lane has been named vice president of marketing, sales and customer support of Link-Belt Cranes, effective July 1, 2025. Link-Belt President and CEO Melvin Porter made the announcement at the company's headquarters in Lexington, Ky.

Lane is a veteran of the crane business, possessing nearly 30 years of industry experience. He joined Link-Belt in 2008 as a district manager covering the central United States, and he spent nine years leading crane sales for Link-Belt dealer general equipment and supplies in Minnesota and North Dakota. Most recently, Lane has served as manager of North American sales of Link-Belt since early 2021.

"Gary's experience within Link-Belt Cranes, the heavy equipment industry, and his knowledge of distribution will be beneficial in leading the company into the future," said Melvin Porter. "Gary has always maintained a strong focus on customer service and support."
