Martin Implement Sales Inc. celebrated its 62nd anniversary and held a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of its new facility at 18405 115th Avenue, Orland Park, Ill., May 31.

Morgan/Harbour Construction in Woodridge, Ill., is in charge of constructing the new 34,350 sq. ft. facility, which is situated on the north side of Interstate 80 in the Orland Park Business Center. Martin Implement Sales plans to move in to the new dealership in the fall of 2007 from its existing location at 16400 104th Avenue.

The new dealership will represent the fourth facility that Martin Implement has called home over its history, each one significantly bigger than the prior and all of them located within the Village of Orland Park.

Art Novak, father of Tom, Bob and Bruce, began working at the dealership as a mechanic in 1950 before becoming a partner in the business in 1957. In 1964, Art purchased the remaining portion of the dealership and served as company President until his death in 2002.

Martin Implement represents the principal equipment lines of New Holland, Kobelco and Kubota, as well as a myriad of complementary construction, turf and attachment suppliers.

The company provides sales, rentals, parts and service to the greater Chicagoland area.
