McGrew Management Company, the management holding company for McGrew Auction Company, Crownstone Equipment, Iron Road Logistics, Eby's Lawn & Garden and related brands, announced the appointment of Joseph Muth as chief financial officer, effective July 6, 2026.
Muth brings more than 30 years of finance and accounting experience to the role, including executive leadership in financial planning and analysis, reporting, cash management, internal controls, operational improvement and organizational development.
As CFO, Muth will oversee McGrew Management Company's financial operations and capital planning and partner with operational leaders to strengthen decision-making, reporting and long-term financial performance across the organization. He will report directly to Greg McGrew, owner and chief executive officer.
"Selecting the right CFO was one of the most important leadership decisions I could make for the future of our organization," said McGrew. "Joe brings the financial experience to help us strengthen how we plan, measure and manage the business. Just as important, he understands that strong financial leadership is about giving people better information, building accountability and helping operational leaders make sound decisions. That combination of experience and leadership is what we need as we continue building for the long term."
Prior to joining McGrew Management Company, Muth served as chief financial officer and finance leader of Klinge Corporation in York, Pa. In that role, he oversaw the company's finance, human resources and information technology functions and worked with executive leadership on financial strategy and organizational performance. During his tenure at Klinge, Muth reduced the month-end close process to two days, established consolidated financial reporting, accelerated year-end close and tax filings, centralized billing functions and supported the sale of the organization to a publicly held company.
Earlier in his career, Muth held a series of financial leadership roles with Dentsply Sirona, where he led financial planning and analysis initiatives, forecasting systems and management reporting. His responsibilities included oversight of a $4 billion budget and leadership of the implementation of Anaplan as a company-wide budgeting and forecasting platform.
Muth also held senior financial planning and profit improvement roles with The Bon-Ton Stores Inc., as well as accounting, controls and finance leadership positions with Baltimore Gas & Electric, Exelon, Experis, Cambrex Bio Science Baltimore and Integrated Health Services.
"I am excited to join McGrew Management Company at such a dynamic time for the organization," Muth said. "I look forward to partnering with Greg and the leadership team to execute our long-term vision, strengthen financial performance and give leaders across the business the information and support they need to make sound decisions."
