New Holland’s L175 black-and-silver 35th Anniversary skid steer loader, which was showcased at several industry events across North America this past year, has been purchased by Nebraska-based New Holland dealer Klein’s Motor Electric Company in a tight 48-hour dealer bid. New Holland Construction has donated part of the sale’s proceeds to United Way of the Plains, in Wichita, Kan., home of New Holland’s global manufacturing plant for skid steers and compact track loaders.

“Good companies make a quality product to sell. Great companies not only make quality products but recognize that strong communities can positively impact the bottom line. United Way is pleased to continue our wonderful relationship with a great company like New Holland Construction as together we build a better community for all of us,” commented Patrick “Pat” Hanrahan, president of United Way of the Plains.

New Holland’s donation will benefit local United Way programs that are designed to assist community members to increase their financial stability and maintain their health as well as to help young people to improve their academic performance.

Mike Allen, construction sales manager for Klein’s Motor Electric, the New Holland dealer that purchased the one-of-a-kind skid steer, was excited to receive the anniversary unit at the official handover in Wichita. The custom machine features chromed rims, tinted cab windows, New Holland-yellow pilot controls, chromed throttle, New Holland leaf decal on the rear window and, last but not least, customized Built to Work decals.

“We have been a family-owned business since the 1930s and the New Holland skid steer loaders are our main product line,” said Allen. “Tradition and heritage mean a lot to us. The New Holland L175 anniversary unit will be the proud center piece of our exhibits at shows in the area for many years to come.”

An Anniversary Model

New Holland Construction introduced the L175 last year in honor of the 35th anniversary of its line of skid steer loaders. The company’s first model, the L35, was launched in 1972 and revolutionized the market as the first skid steer to feature ROPS and a vertical parallel lift boom system. Since the introduction of the New Holland skid steer loader, the company has produced more than 200,000 units.

“Both the pioneer L35 as well as the Anniversary L175 exhibit the same stability, low center of gravity and large load capacity-to-equipment weight ratio which are the hallmark of New Holland skid steer loaders,” explained Edgar Chavez, director of marketing for New Holland Construction. “Our patented Super Boom design that allows New Holland skid steers to lift higher and further out than any other skid steer loader on the market has distinguished us from the beginning. The L175 adds best-in-class cab comfort, a powerful yet fuel-efficient Tier III engine and easy service access. New Holland is proud that the sale of our Anniversary unit is benefiting a worthy cause such as the United Way organization.”
