The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) announced Dec. 15 the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of its Safety, Environmental and Community Relations Excellence Awards.

The awards program recognizes aggregates operations throughout the United States and Canada for their extraordinary commitment to safety, for their superior performance as environmental stewards and for their community involvement and support activities that have enhanced the image of the aggregates industry during 2008 and 2009.

All Gold Awards in each category will be presented at NSSGA’s 2010 Annual Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Feb. 15.

This year’s Gold Award winners include the following IAAP Producer Members:

• Mining International, LLC Small Category Joliet, Illinois

• Ozinga Materials Inc. Small Category Mokena, Illinois

• Renner Quarries Ltd. Small Category Dixon, Illinois
