Bobcat Company has improved its mini track loaders with the introduction of the B-Series MT52 and MT55. The B-Series loaders have features that improve operator safety, comfort and machine durability and meet the latest emission requirements, according to the manufacturer.

Bobcat B-Series mini track loaders include an auxiliary hydraulic continuous flow shutoff lever. A new safety feature, the continuous flow shutoff lever is located on the directional control handle. When an operator lets go of the continuous flow shutoff lever, the hydraulically powered attachment stops running. The attachment resumes work when the operator again grips this lever.

Adjustable tilt steering on the directional control handle improves operator comfort, no matter the height of the user. Operators who are 5 ft. 5 in. tall want to adjust the directional control handle to a different height than operators who are 6 ft. 3 in. tall. Also, the position of the operator changes depending on whether the operator is using the optional ride-on platform or is walking behind the machine. Operators are able to adjust the angle of the directional control handle to a position comfortable for them.

The ride-on operator platform decreases operator fatigue when the loader is traveling over long distances or is working over many hours. Bobcat’s mini track loader includes a removable ride-on platform, providing better access to tight job sites.

The rubber tracks are now made of a new, more durable compound. The weight of the machine is distributed evenly throughout the tracks for a low ground pressure, limiting the turf damage that concerns many landscape contractors. The C-Pattern tracks also have added traction for digging and other applications and for working in muddy or wet conditions.

Another new feature of Bobcat B-Series mini track loaders is a Tier IV engine. This engine meets the latest emissions requirements.

Mini track loaders are popular with contractors working in landscaping and construction who rely on the machines to eliminate hand labor in constrained work areas. The MT52 can pass through a narrow, 36-in. gate for backyard landscape improvements.

Buildings and grounds professionals use mini track loaders to maintain, replace and improve their facilities. Rental houses provide mini track loaders to contractors and homeowners for a variety of uses. This work is accomplished through one of the 21 attachments that are available for use on Bobcat mini track loaders.

The Bobcat MT52 mini track loader has a rated operating capacity of 520 lbs. (236 kg), and the MT55 has a rated operating capacity of 550 lbs. (249 kg).

The MT52 is 35.6 in. (90 cm) wide, and the MT55 is 41.4 in. (105 cm) wide. Both the MT52 and the MT55 are 72.4 in. (184 cm) long without an attachment.

Bobcat mini track loaders can easily dump materials into standard-size pickup trucks because they have a bucket pin height of 71.3 in. (181 cm).
