Perimeter Bobcat Promotes Four Employees to New Roles

Four people have recently been promoted at Perimeter Bobcat.

Craig Neal, the former branch manager at the Lake City, Ga., location, was named vice president and general manager. An employee at Perimeter Bobcat since November 1995, he started out as a sales representative covering four counties on the west side of Atlanta. In 2000, he became sales manager and in 2006, he was promoted to branch manager.

Even before starting his career in construction equipment, it was a big part of his life.

His father owned a paving equipment manufacturer and, by age 11, Neal helped out by sweeping floors. Eventually, he started welding and doing fabrication.

Neal said the compact equipment market has grown tremendously over the past several years, so it’s important to stand out from other dealers.

“I think one thing that differentiates Perimeter from our competitors is the commitment that we have with four locations in metro Atlanta, with 12 road service techs and with the amount of factory-trained people that we have here,” Neal said.

He said Perimeter’s employees “know the small- to medium-size contractors [and] we understand their needs and how to serve them. If you have a problem, an issue, if you need something done, you can guarantee that you’re not standing behind another customer that just bought a half-million dollar loader or excavator.”

Clay Caldwell, who started at Perimeter in January 2002 as a sales representative covering two counties on the east side of Atlanta, has been promoted to branch manager in Lake City. He oversees sales, service, parts and rentals. Prior to joining the Perimeter team, Caldwell worked in sports marketing with NASCAR sponsors.

David Buehler started as a service dispatcher in March 1998. He’s now customer support manager over all four locations. From the company’s main location in Norcross, Ga., he will oversee the service department and its customers. Buehler stared in the business at his parents’ Case dealership in Delaware as a mechanic and worked his way up through the parts department. In his new position, Buehler will work closely with customer issues and help focus the service department on their needs.

Finally, Jeff Farschman was named branch manager in Norcross, Ga. He started out as an operations manager over all four locations five years ago, when he was responsible for improving efficiency ensuring operations were being done in a cost effective manner.

Before joining Perimeter, Farschman spent five years in the lighting manufacturing industry and another ten years at BellSouth telecommunication. CEG Staff
