Petrowsky Auctioneers Inc. appointed Peter Butler to manage sales and customer service for the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest markets. Butler will work out of the Columbus, Ohio, auction facility.
Before joining the Petrowsky team, Butler was the division manager for used and rental equipment at Ohio’s largest heavy equipment dealership. He brings 30 years of experience in the heavy equipment and contracting industries including 14 years as a highway and general trades contractor and 15 years on the equipment rental and retail side of the business.
Butler’s used equipment sales experience with a major Midwest dealer will come into play with companies seeking fleet appraisals, those looking to market equipment to a broader theater as well as individuals seeking dependable used equipment at auction.
As well as serving all of Ohio, Butler’s territory will span as far north as Detroit, west to the Indianapolis market, south to Louisville, and east to Pittsburgh. Along with setting up auctions, as a certified equipment appraiser, Butler’s duties include evaluating fleets for financing, insurance and tax purposes.

Petrowsky Auctioneers has leased space on Hart Road in Columbus, Ohio, from The Shelly Company where the company will conduct it’s third Columbus auction on Dec. 7. The location will feature a ramp style facility and live internet bidding.
Equipment on the block will include machines from the Shelly Company and other local area contractors and equipment dealers.
Petrowsky Auctioneers Inc. was founded over 29 years ago and offers the public auction services.
