Lou Tomolonis (L) of Dutchman Global Inc. in Chepachet, R.I., and Marc Varricchione of Wood’s CRW Corp. in Worcester, Mass., took a moment to catch up on the old times and the new at the auction. These two happy contractors are Patrick Carr (L) of A #1 Crane Company in Fairhaven, R.I., and William Dunlap of Dunlap Crane in Seekonk, R.I. Todd Campbell (L) of Campbell Inc. in Greenville, S.C., and Forrest Boone of Edward’s Crane in Spring Hope, N.C., traveled a long ways to visit the sale site and peruse through the multi-million dollar inventory up for auction. Bill McCormick of Linde Corp. in Honesdale, Pa., showed his son, Jacob, 8, what it would be like to sit behind the driver’s seat of a 2007 Peterbilt 379 tri-axle tractor. Bob Butler of Butler Company in Windsor, Conn., uses his handy measuring tape to identify the specs on a trailer for sale. Denny Easton of T-Quip Sales and Rentals Inc. in Londonderry, N.H., took his son, Brady, 7, to the sale for the day in Warwick, R.I. These two gentlemen could fool anyone into thinking they’re related … but they’re not!  Chris Palmer (L) of Wood’s CRW Corp. in Williston, Vt., stands with Bill Palmer of Smedley Crane & Rigging in Branford, Conn. Chuck Cappello (L) of Cappello Trucking in Marlboro, Mass., and Barry Haines of Norton and Haines Transportation in Hopkinton, Mass., weren’t afraid to strike a pose for the camera on the hot and humid July day. The sale featured equipment from L.J. Site Development Inc., L.J. Heavy Hauling & Roofing and L.J. Crane & Rigging Inc. Going on the block was an extensive collection of equipment, including truck tractors, lowbed and flatbed trailers, various assortments of trucks, fleet vehicles and an extensive inventory of crane and rigging support equipment, accessories and attachments, as well as several cranes.
