Powerscreen New England is now the authorized distributor of Terex environmental products (formerly known as Terex Woodsmen) for the New England states. The company also recently opened the doors of its new facility in Loudon, N.H.

Terex offers a comprehensive range of hand fed arborist chippers, biomass chippers and trommel equipment to the arborist, land developer, utility contractor, recycling industries and large scale biomass producers. Important features include heavy-duty steel construction, a rear pivoting feed system and a durable chipping drum.

“The New England market is a substantial wood processing market,” said Powerscreen New England President Seamus Sheelan. “Natural disasters in southern and central New England such as ice storms and hurricanes have produced a tremendous demand for wood chippers and trommels. Of course, the northern New England market, with its logging industry, consumes a significant amount of all types of wood processing equipment.

“As a Powerscreen and Cedarapids distributor we have had a relationship with Terex for quite some time and we are confident that the products that they are giving us, along with the support that our staff has the ability to provide, will satisfy the needs of New England contractors, recyclers, municipalities and loggers.”

The Terex biomass whole tree chipper was designed with the emphasis on chipping everything, from a large top to a pile of brush to the short ends. The machines are available in a large variety of sizes with configurations to fit individual needs.

The Terex Phoenix range of mobile trommels is designed with productivity and end user flexibility in mind. The range of machines is efficient in the separation and processing of wood chippings, topsoil, compost, light demolition waste, aggregates and yard waste.

Powerscreen New England’s new facility is strategically located to serve the needs of the company’s eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine customers. Not only will the facility offer an inventory of Powerscreen, Cedarapids and Terex Environmental products, it also will house everything needed to promote aggregate and organic material processing equipment needs. A large inventory of commonly used parts and maintenance equipment are currently being stocked.

Powerscreen New England’s service trucks will be dispatched from this location, placing them within a few short hours from any northern New England customer.
