Construction Equipment Guide

Rammer has offered an extensive range of hydraulic hammers, cutter crushers, pulverizers, pedestal mounted systems and plate compactors to meet a wide range of job applications.

Hydraulic hammers are available in more than 25 different sizes in a variety of configurations. Units are sized from the 890 to 66,720-N (200 to 15,000 ft./lb.) impact energy class and are suitable for mini-excavators on up through large excavators.

Rammer hammers feature a high impact rate for better breaking and higher productivity. The rugged design provides long life and service is simple. Slip fit bushings are used for easy service and lower tool bushings and tools are field replaceable.

There is a wide choice of configurations to meet all types of job requirements. Uniram models direct pin mount to most popular backhoes and skid steer loaders; no special brackets are needed. The City models offer sound suppression. Rammer’s City Pro models allow the operator to adjust operating pressure from the cab to match power to breaking conditions to optimize production. City Jet models offer a water spray dust suppression system. All City models feature built in channels for automatic lubrication, as well as air channels to easily equip the units for underwater application.

In addition to the wide range of hammers, cutter crushers and pulverizers meet the needs of the demolition and recycling industries. The cutting forces are up to 285,763 kilograms (630,000 lbs.), crushing forces to 124,375 kilograms (274,200 lbs.). Long cutter blades on cutter crushers easily shear rebar and beams. Pulverizers feature a tooth geometry which feeds material to the most effective yield point. All cutter blades are easily reversed and replaced when needed.

More than 20 different models of pedestal boom systems are offered for mounting on both mobile and stationary crushers. The newest in the line is the Rammer Z250 Zoom Boom designed especially for the recycling industry. For use on both mobile and stationary crushers, the Zoom Boom can reach both the crusher and the feeder if necessary.

Rammer also offers the RamPac mounted plate compactor/driver for use in soil compaction in trench, foundation, slope and other work. The RamPac models also are used for driving posts, beams and sheeting. Five models are available with impulse force from 1,361 to 9,979 kilograms (3,000 to 22,000 lbs.).

The Ramses CD-ROM package includes service manuals, video explanations of procedures, parts lists and other information. Rammer also provides parts and service access on a 24-hour basis, field and factory service support personnel, factory and regional service schools. In addition, Rammer maintains an application engineering department to help meet special requirements.
