Ritchie Bros Attracts 2,000 Bidders to In-Person, Online Auction

Around 2,000 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Chicago, Ill., Oct. 11, 2012.

Bidders came from 43 countries. More than 63 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Peru, Vietnam and The Netherlands. Online bidders purchased more than 38 percent of the equipment sold.

In total, more than 1,400 equipment items were sold in the auction, including wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators, crawler tractors, loader backhoes, truck tractors, van trucks and more.
