Roland Machinery Company has announced that it will soon be serving customers out of its brand new nine-acre 24,000 sq. ft. facility in Raymond, Wis., just south of Milwaukee.
The facility, set to open Sept. 1, will include six service bays and a wash bay, a rebuild room and a 12,000 sq. ft. parts warehouse, according to Larry Gindville, vice president of the Wisconsin division of Roland Machinery Company. More than 25 employees will be working out of the Raymond branch with plans to add more staff in the future. For customers' mobile needs, a total of 10 service trucks also will be available.
Matt Roland, president of Roland Machinery Company, said the new facility was essential to add more capacity in the area.
“Amazon came to town a couple years ago, and then Uline moved up from Chicago into the Racine area,” said Roland. “Foxconn also has announced that they are building one of the largest manufacturing plants in the world in Racine County, so it's going to be a very large construction market for a very long time. We are going to be prepared for that.”
When it was time to purchase the nine-acre plot for the Raymond branch, which is the company's six location in Wisconsin, Roland Machinery Company worked with a long-time customer — A.W. Oakes & Son Inc.
“We got with Dan Oakes of A.W. Oakes & Son Inc. who was recently doing a development in the area,” said Roland. “Working with Dan, we found a piece of property that worked out. Then, we decided on another local building contractor, Bukacek Construction in Racine County. They've started the project and are doing a great job.”
