Southern Track and Pump recently opened for business in Fort Pierce, FL.

Located at 2200 N. Kings Highway, the building includes office space, a parts department and a two-bay shop.

It services the east central coast of Florida and represents ASV Posi-Track; Yanmar excavators, wheel loaders and the CVL compact loader backhoe; Mustang telehandlers; Towmaster trailers; Gorman Rupp pumps; and Bradco Attachments.

The company is led by President Joe Thurston. Working with him are his father, Mike, who will handle equipment financing; Dan Deshotel, service manager; Sean Trollan, parts manager; and Lu Hurtado, Dave Thurston and Phil Compeau in sales.

Owners of the company are Scott Langston, Joe Thurston, Mike Thurston, Dave Thurston, Dan Deshotel and Charlie Underbrink.

Also with the company is Buffy Thurston, Joe’s wife, who will run the office.

“I think the real strength of our company is that we have employees who like the equipment business,” Joe Thurston said. “We plan to build our company on customer service. Our company motto, ’We Listen, We Care, We Perform,’ reflects that philosophy. A lot of companies claim good customer service but don’t live up to it. But if you look at my history and the companies I’ve been with, you’ll see that I’ve built my reputation on that.”

The company sells and rents equipment and boasts a fully-stocked parts department, shop and field service trucks, as well as a welding truck.
