Stephenson Equipment Hosts Bob DeSousa at Harrisburg Headquarters

Stephenson Equipment Inc. hosted Bob DeSousa, state director of Sen. Pat Toomey, and Ben Yates, Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) regional manager, on Sept. 4, at its Harrisburg headquarters.

Dennis Heller, president/CEO of Stephenson said the reason for the visit was to discuss taxes, the highway-funding bill and its impact on small businesses.

“Continued short-funding of the highway bill has a trickle-down effect on small businesses and consumers,” said Heller.

He noted that without funding for projects, there is less demand for equipment rental.

Heller said he appreciated DeSousa’s visit, as he showed genuine interest in small business and will convey concerns to Toomey.

Stephenson Equipment provides sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment.

Recently, Toomey supported bipartisan legislation to continue federal support for Pennsylvania’s vital roads, bridges and other transportation infrastructure.
