Derek Losh joined the Talbert Manufacturing team as the new Great Lakes-area sales manager. Losh, a former mechanical engineer within the industry, will bring experience and a fresh perspective into his new sales leadership role. He will cover a six-state region as he assists customers with Talbert’s specialized heavy-haul trailers and transportation equipment.

In his new position, Losh will provide dealers and end users with the tools and knowledge necessary to receive the safest and highest level of performance from Talbert’s products. Within the Great Lakes area, which includes Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, he will promote, specify, customize and sell trailers that meet customers’ application needs.

“Derek will thrive as the new Great Lakes-area sales manager,” said Troy Geisler, vice president of sales and marketing. “The combination of his strong commitment to Talbert, mechanical design background and solid understanding of our products will allow him to provide excellent technical support to customers, build lasting relationships, and successfully meet the specific needs of each dealer and end user.”

Losh brings four years of on-highway and specialized vehicles experience to his new role. Previously, Losh worked as a senior applications engineer for EZ-Trac hydraulic all-wheel-drive products at TDS Drive Systems in Brookston, Ind. Before that, he was a mechanical design engineer at Talbert Manufacturing.

Losh said one of the most exciting aspects of his new job is working with dealers and customers to provide a level of support that meets or exceeds their expectations.

“The Talbert name says it all. With 78 years of experience, we are among the elite in our industry. I am excited to join the team once again,” Losh said. “In this new position, I plan to continue to contribute to our strong reputation in the industry, and I look forward to offering a wide array of heavy-haul solutions that best fit our customers’ unique needs.”
