Thompson Tractor Announces Retirement, Promotions

Cloyde Robert “Bob” Bacon has elected to retire from Thompson Tractor Company Inc. after 36 years of service.

Thompson Tractor Company Inc. has announced the retirement of Cloyde Robert “Bob” Bacon and the promotions of John Grant and Kyle Sims.

Bacon has elected to retire from Thompson Tractor Company Inc. after 36 years of service. He has served as vice president of service for the past 19 years. Prior to his current position, he served as general service manager. Bacon worked 11 years with Caterpillar in Illinois before joining Thompson Tractor.

Grant has been promoted to vice president of service of Thompson Tractor Company. He joined the organization in 1996 and most recently served as vice president of power systems. He will be responsible for leading the service department that supports earthmoving, power systems and lift truck divisions.

Sims has been promoted to vice president of power systems. He was formerly the power systems general product support manager and has worked as a branch service manager among various other parts and service assignments. He has been with the company since 1995 and is a second generation employee of Thompson.
