Liebherr tower cranes are a recurring sight on construction sites across Greater Miami.
Morrow Equipment Company is Liebherr's exclusive tower crane distributor for the United States, Canada and Mexico. Through them, various Liebherr crane models are currently being used on residential and mixed-use high-rise construction projects across several Miami neighbourhoods — Brickell, Edgewater, Park West and the Miami Worldcenter district. The projects together represent several thousand new homes and a significant share of the towers currently rising in the city.
The selection of Liebherr cranes reflects the demands of high-rise construction on the Florida coast: tight inner-city sites, hook heights of up to around 755 ft., seasonal hurricane exposure and high humidity. Liebherr EC-B flat-top cranes have established themselves as a workhorse on Miami high-rise sites. They are valued for their compact tower heads, which allow several cranes to work in proximity. The EC-H high-top series provides additional load-bearing capacity for taller, heavier structures and HC- L luffing jib cranes complete the portfolio where space at altitude is limited and minimal out of service positions are essential.
Why Liebherr in Miami
Morrow Equipment Company has been Liebherr's exclusive distributor for tower cranes in North America for more than four decades. In 2022, Morrow ordered 27 additional Liebherr cranes, including multiple 340 EC-B and 470 EC-B flat-tops, 357 HC-L luffing jib cranes. Models from this fleet are now in regular use on construction sites across Greater Miami.

Seven Miami Projects, One Common Lifting Partner
Villa Miami, in the Edgewater neighbourhood at 710 NE 29th Street, is rising as a 56-story, copper-clad luxury condominium tower. Two 316 EC-H tower cranes were filed with the Federal Aviation Administration in March 2025, one rising to approximately 755 ft. above ground and a second to approximately 715 ft. The first crane was installed in April 2025. Recent aerial photography shows two yellow tower cranes flanking the central core as the structure climbs past the 37th floor.
E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences Miami is a dual-tower development in the Park West district. The first 65-story tower topped off in early 2025, with a Liebherr 470 EC-B tower crane operated by Morrow Equipment at the summit until dismantling began later in the year. Construction on the second tower, E11EVEN Club Residences Beyond, is progressing above the parking podium.
Cipriani Residences Miami at 1420 South Miami Avenue in Brickell is being developed as an 80-story, approximately 942-ft. residential tower. Two Liebherr EC-B tower cranes operated by Morrow frame the superstructure. Filings with the Federal Aviation Administration approved crane heights of up to approximately 1,000 ft. above ground for the site. In April 2026 the tower passed 873 ft., temporarily becoming the tallest residential tower in Miami.
Furthermore, the 600 Miami World centre, is currently on the way, a 32-story, 606-residence. The tower topped off in October 2025 with the help of two 357 HC-L Liebherr luffing jib cranes and is on track for delivery in 2026.
A 58-story, 824-unit residential tower is being built at 46 NE 6th Street in downtown Miami. Two Liebherr tower cranes, a 420 EC-H and a 316 EC-H are on site, helping with the vertical construction after a large foundation was poured. The tower will reach approximately 574 ft. above ground and include around 755 sq. ft. of ground-floor retail plus a pool deck on the ninth floor.
Hamilton House, at 640 NE 34th Street in Edgewater, is a 38-story, 114-residence rental tower and the first Liebherr tower crane was installed in March 2025, vertical construction followed in April, and the structure topped out in March 2026 at approximately 495 ft.
Lastly, the St. Regis Residences, Miami at 1809 Brickell Avenue a 50-story, 152-residence ultra-luxury condominium. Filings with the Federal Aviation Administration approved two tower cranes, one 470 EC-B and a 420 EC-H at approximately 741 ft. above ground for the site with completion is scheduled for 2027.
Shared Contribution to Miami Skyline
Across these seven projects, Liebherr tower cranes are contributing to a phase of construction that will add thousands of residences to Miami in the coming years. Each project places its own demands on lifting technology, from the ultra-tall Cipriani Residences in Brickell to the dense, dual-tower E11EVEN site in Park West and the waterfront Villa Miami in Edgewater. The combination of EC-B, EC-H and HC-L cranes provides contractors with the flexibility to match the right machine to each task on the Miami coastline.
