Triple Blade & Steel Hammers Out the Powersledge

- West Edition

Triple Blade & Steel (TB&S) of Forney, TX, is working with Universal Impact Technologies Inc. (UIT) of Cumming, GA, to make the Powersledge available to work sites throughout the Southwest.

UIT manufactures the Powersledge non-hydraulic concrete and demolition breaker to fit skid steers, mini-excavators, backhoes and large excavators up to 30 tons (27 t) in size. Its mounting enables the operator to break not only flat work and decks, but vertical walls, bridges, barriers and uneven piles. The powersledge is capable of breaking 8 in. (20.32 cm) concrete at a rate of 3,000 sq. ft. (914.4 sq m) per hour and can break a slab on a grade of up to 18 in. (45.72 cm) thick. The Powersledge is designed to eliminate the high cost maintenance, with users reporting 10 years of operation with little cost for parts and repair.

TB&S has been in business in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma since 1992. In 1996, it began its association with Ramco of T.R. Inc of South Carolina, handling the manufacturer’s Thumb. Later, the company began working with Packer Industries Inc. of Georgia, handling its Thumb and horizontal grinders.

In the past, TB&S has dealt primarily with state, county and local governments, but offers contractors and rental companies the same access to its products.
