Vermeer Iowa & Northern MO Hosts Underground School for HDD Customers

On Feb. 12, Vermeer Iowa & Northern MO hosted its 20th annual Horizontal Directional Drill School, of which 125 customers attended.

This year Dave Bokhoven of Vermeer Corporation led a discussion on drilling safety.

Wyo-Ben experts were there to explain the importance of proper mud mixing techniques.

Digital Control Incorporated hosted a training session on proper locating practices for HDD Equipment.

Travis Berarn of Radiodetection took time to demonstrate and explain proper utility locating.

McLaughlin and Vac-Tron representatives were in attendance to teach operation and safety of vacuum excavation equipment.

Since the event was held at Vermeer Corporation’s Global Pavilion, attendees were able to enjoy a tour of Vermeer Corporation Plant 7 Trenchless Division.

Vermeer Iowa & Northern MO covers all of Iowa and the northern part of Missouri. With three locations — Vermeer Iowa & Northern MO in Pella, Vermeer Siouxland in Marcus, and Vermeer Eastern Iowa in Tipton — and with each location having its own parts specialist and Vermeer Certified Mechanics on location.
