A woman in China's Jiangxi province was rescued from a rapidly rising river with a Kobleco excavator Jan. 8.

While riding a tricycle over a partially submerged bridge, the woman became trapped, clinging to a tree, NBC4i reported. Firefighters arrived with an excavator, extending the arm in an attempt to reach her. She couldn't quite reach, so a rescuer got into the water to help while his team held onto him with a rope, NBC4i reported.

In all, it took 30 minutes to complete the rescue. The woman sustained only minor injuries, CGTN reported.
