Volvo Rents has acquired Inland Rentals LLC, a single location construction equipment rental company located at 573 North Idahline Road in Post Falls, Idaho.

The move is part of the company’s surge of nearly 50 pickups in the last 12 months, lifting its North American total to 70 stores.

“We believe there is tremendous opportunity in the market,” said Mike Crouch, vice president of business development of Volvo Rents. “Our strong national presence and brand recognition puts us in a favorable position as we meet the growing demand for construction equipment rental.”

While construction activity has declined from mid-2000 levels, the heavy equipment rental business is growing.

“As the recession continues to force contractors to be financially prudent, the construction equipment rental industry is projected to be one of the fastest growing in North America, as more people are choosing to rent rather than commit to capital expenditures,” Crouch added.

In addition to Volvo Rents’ expanding line of Volvo compact equipment — such as backhoe and skid steer loaders, compact wheel loaders, compact excavators and compaction equipment — the rental center carries a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets. The focus is on daily, weekly and monthly rentals.

The store’s summer hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Winter hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The company offers 24-hour service, every day of the week.
