Volvo Construction Equipment Rents Inc. (Volvo CE Rents) has announced the signing of a franchise agreement for the new Volvo CE Rents equipment rental center in Egg Harbor Township (Atlantic City), NJ.

PJ Rental LLC, Egg Harbor Township, has entered into a Volvo CE Rents franchise agreement to own and operate Volvo CE Rents centers in a rapidly growing southern New Jersey market. Franchise principals Marc Dowdell and Tony Chelpaty will open a new and modern facility on Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor, in early spring.

Volvo CE Rents equipment centers are independently owned and operated franchises within the Volvo Construction Equipment rental program. The new Egg Harbor rental center will carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets.

Principal Volvo products for its franchised rental centers include its comprehensive line of compact excavators and wheel loaders and the company’s backhoe and skid steer loaders.

The Volvo CE Rents program was designed and developed by Volvo Construction Equipment Rents Inc., and covers all aspects of an operating rental business model. Program features include use of the Volvo brand, financial assistance, a fleet purchasing program for non-Volvo products, a Volvo CE Rents proprietary software program, training, facility design and regional and local marketing.

Volvo CE Rents began its equipment rental franchise initiative in 2001. The company now has equipment rental centers open in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, California, Tennessee, Ohio, South Carolina, Louisiana, New York, Minnesota, Arkansas, New Jersey, Alabama, Kentucky, Illinois, New Mexico, Washington, Pennsylvania, Texas, Mississippi, Maryland and Canada.

In addition to these operating franchise, the company is finalizing franchise agreements with other business interests seeking independently owned and operated franchise opportunities in the equipment rental business. The company also is expanding its operations in Europe with rental centers open in Portugal and Spain and recently signed franchise agreements with a company in Italy.
