Walsh Construction raised more than $80,000 at its seventh annual Pennsylvania regional charity golf outing, held June 6, in Farmington, Fayette, Pa., at the Nemicolin Renaissance Resort and Golf Club.

Charity recipients include Rebuilding Pittsburgh Together, St. Anthony School Programs, JDRF , Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh and the McKenzi Ann Loid Scholarship Fund. The event included 176 golfers, more than 40 sponsors and donors, and 17 Walsh Group employees who volunteered to help coordinate the event.

"Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and volunteers, we have been able to make far-reaching contributions to organizations that serve as key institutions in Pennsylvania," said Arik Quam, vice president/business group leader, Walsh Group, Pennsylvania Heavy Civil. "We are delighted that we are able to help raise awareness for these vital causes and make such a positive impact."

In seven years, the Pennsylvania regional Walsh group has contributed $745,000 to various charities as part of its charity golf outings.
