Don Smock Auction Company held its 25th annual Snowball Auction at the company's facility in Pendleton, Ind., on Dec. 7. Frigid conditions didn't deter an active crowd of auction attendees and online bidders as the sales heated up inside the facilities 80 x 100 ft. all-weather auction theater. A few of the more adventurous attendees ventured out into the equipment yard for a closer inspection of the machines going on the block.

The auction featured a large variety of excavators, dozers, backhoe loaders and compaction equipment, as well as trucks and other construction equipment
